DTTC is an authorized CCW training provider for Los Angeles County Sheriff Department, Los Angeles Police Department, and most southern California Police Departments.

Our mission is to provide quality firearms training and education to law-abiding citizens and public safety personnel.

We have no affiliation with, nor do we promote or encourage any acts against the United States of America or against the American People, inside or outside of U.S. borders. Any and all instruction and training conducted by our staff are done in accordance with Federal, State and Local Laws. We will not train any foreign or domestic entity(ies) that could pose a threat to or has denounced the United States of America or anyone prohibited by law to possess firearms.

Rangemaster Simon Cruz has more than 25 years of experience in law enforcement and public safety. He holds numerous International, Federal and State Law Enforcement Instructor certifications (NRA, DOJ, POST, FBI, BSIS, DHS, IALEFI). He has served the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) representing the Firearm & Baton Training Facilities since 2014. He is an active contributor and has written numerous articles and product reviews on various publications namely; World of Firepower, Concealed Carry Handguns, Gun World, Home Defender, Tactical World, and Knives Illustrated.

Double Tap Training Center can provide hands-on firearms manipulation training at your film/production location. Mr. Cruz is a California Department of Justice (DOJ) licensed Entertainment Firearm Permit holder. He is licensed to possess firearms for use as props in motion picture, television, video, theatrical, or other entertainment productions. As a certified Federal, Police, and NRA Rangemaster/Instructor, Mr. Cruz can provide professional training and coaching through-out your production.
